A second state-of-the-art cath lab expands 24/7 capacity for emergency heart-attack treatment.
Meridian Hospital has commissioned a second cardiac catheterisation laboratory, doubling its capacity to provide round-the-clock primary angioplasty for patients suffering a heart attack.
The new lab features flat-panel imaging and intravascular imaging, enabling more precise treatment of complex coronary disease while reducing radiation dose for patients and staff.

The laboratory is staffed by the hospital's interventional cardiology team and is directly connected to the Emergency Department and Coronary Care Unit.
